Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat Overview

This is the story of Rani, a young village girl, whose only dream is to make her family proud and happy. She is innocent, shy and a simple girl. Her mother is the bread-earner of the family after Rani's father passed away. Rani has a younger brother and a dadi who are very loving. Like every other girl of her age, Rani has also woven her dream world where her Prince Charming would arrive one day and take her to his kingdom. Rani has seen her mother slogging to give them good education and a better life. Rani's uncle is eyeing her family's small piece of land. Rani's uncle and the Munshi of the village would have acquired the land easily, only if Rani not been educated, as she goes through every detail before she signs any paper related to their land. Seeing all their plans falling apart, the uncle and the munshi come up with a more devious plan. Once, Rajmata visits the village along with the Prince. He falls in love with Rani\'s voice, when he hears her sing in the temple, but he is not able to see her. Eventually Rajmata takes Rani with her, on Munshi's request, to be one of the maids in the palace. For Rani life in the city becomes a complete contrast to her village existence. She finds it hard to cope up with the etiquettes and mannerisms of urban living. The servants senior to her take advantage of her ignorance, alienating her emotionally. Rajyabhishek ceremony is being held for the elder son of the Royal Family. Rani is taken aback by the royal aura of the ceremony and the first glimpse of the young prince during the Rajyabhishek. In the huge brigade of servants, cooks and personal assistants, the Prince doesn't notice Rani and is not even aware that she exists in his Palace. But Rani starts seeing in the young prince her own Prince Charming she used to dream about when she was in village. One day, egged on by another maid-friend, she's trying on a princess' costume, when the young Prince sees her and mistakes her to a princess he's going to be engaged to. Rani is scared of the consequences and therefore she runs away. When the prince meets the actual princess, with whom he is set to marry, he realises it isn't the same girl he had seen earlier. He finally realises that he loves Rani. This story is about Rani's journey from nobody to winning the heart of the young prince and her acceptance as the Bahu of the Royal Family, for whom she worked for as a servant.

She is declared a bad omen by the village. Eventually, Hasmukh leaves village and the girl is left to her destiny. The girl’s grand mother raises her in all the adversities. When the girl Bhakti grows into a beautiful young lady, her grandmother takes her to Ahmedabad where her father lives with his second wife. Here, his wife ill treats Bhakti and her grandmother. She does not even let Hasmukh talk to Bhakti. A dejected and depressed Bhakti and her grandmother takes shelter in a temple. In the city of Ahmedabad, the Nanavatis are a famous family. Devki is the head of this family. Her husband passed away a few years ago. She has six sons viz. Jayant, Sanat, Mukesh, Ketan, Gautam and Mohan. Out of the six brothers, five are married. Mohan is loved by everyone in the family. He is very obedient, honest. He has tremendous respect for his mother, brothers and definitely his bhabhis ie. the jethanis viz. Manjula, Parul, Alpa, Jalpa and Rajeshwari. He dotes on his bhabhis to the extent that he can hear no ill against them. The jethanis, too, shower their love and affection for him. But this love of theirs’ is fake and superficial. They show their love to him only to keep him under their control. They have a certain agenda because of which they don’t want to let him go away from their control. They intend to continue like this till they achieve their goal. In this endeavour of theirs, they get him married to Bhakti who is a simple village girl so that they can easily be kept under their influence. The jethanis don’t want Mohan to come under Bhakti’s influence so that he doesn’t slip out of their control. Due to the same reason, they don’t even let them consummate their marriage for some time. And to keep him away from Bhakti, the jethanis use all kinds of dirty tricks. But in spite of all this Mohan and Bhakti come together and become inseparable. Devki, of course has tremendous liking for both. The jethanis have a mysterious secret which is known only to them. They have kept this secret hidden from everybody for almost seven years. They wait for another year to achieve their goal. They have a locker in a certain bank, which contains a secret only known to them. The secret has some connection with Mohan. Apparently, eight years ago the jethanis had lured Daksha into eloping with an imposter called Deepak and strike a deal with him to get a share from Daksha’s property. Daksha is defamed before the family and, shocked by the turn of events their father Purushottamdas dies and the family disowns Daksha….. The jethanis have been waiting for the past eight years for Mohan to grow up and lure him into transferring the money in their name by deceit. In their garb of appearing to be caring towards, Mohan and Bhakti, they have tried umpteen number of times to keep Bhakti and Mohan apart and even defame them before the family. But every time their plans get thwarted thus giving way to newer plans… Daksha’s home coming proves to be fatal for the jethanis when they find the brothers had tracked the money in the bank and had withdrawn it even before they could get it transferred in their names. The brothers then transfer the entire amount in Devki’s name. The jethanis now wreck revenge on Bhakti and Mohan by framing Mohan in a false case of cheating with the help of Deepak. Deepak tells the brothers that Mohan and he had struck a deal of sharing 50 crores with him on the condition that he would divorce Daksha and set her free. Eventually, the family misunderstands Mohan and asks Bhakti and him to leave the house. They are given the concession of living in the out-house. Bhakti and Mohan live in the out-house bereft of luxuries they had enjoyed so far. They start living a very basic lifestyle and the hope that someday the family will know the truth. Mohan, now faced with taking on the mantle of responsibility, sets out to look for a job that would atleast sustain Bhakti and him in the prevailing crisis situation. While at the same time the jethanis place hurdles in their way by provoking the brothers to prevent Mohan from getting a job. When Mohan fails to get a job, he starts working as a waiter for a paltry sum of money to make ends meet. When he finds that the brothers are upset with him for working as a waiter in a restaurant, Mohan thinks of starting a business of his own but doesn’t have enough money to start one. As a dejected Mohan wonders if their aspirations of starting a business come true, Bhakti hands over her jewellery as a last resort to help him start his business. Meanwhile, Devki decides to visit Canada for her niece’s wedding and before leaving wants to hand over the responsibility of running the house to one of the jethanis who prove to be capable of running the house. The race is on for the jethanis to grab the opportunity of running the house and outdo each other to emerge a winner. Even as Mohan and Bhakti grapple with the prevailing crisis, a little boy called Gopal (assumed to be a living incarnate of Laddoo Gopal, Gopal had once come into Bhakti’s life in a crisis situation and bailed her out of it and left mysteriously) and his brother Balram visits them. The atmosphere in their house lightens a bit as Mohan and Bhakti spend some good moments with the kids. Balram being a foodie asks Bhakti to make papads. As everyone feasts on sumptuous papads , Balram sneaks into the Nanavati House where a party is organized by one of the jethanis as a part of the mission of running the house. Gopal urges the Nanavatis and the guest to sample the papads…and at once Mohan and Bhakti are flooded with offers from the guests. Enthusiastic that they have been asked to supply papads, they name it “Laddoo Gopal Papad’. Now that Mohan and Bhakti have decided to dabble in the papad making business, to eke out a living, the jethanis try to create problems for Mohan by advising him to supply papads to their friend’s husband (He is averse with the taste of papads),but as luck would have it Mohan convinces him to sample his papads. The jethanis’ move of getting their friends’ husband sample the papads boomerangs on them as Mohan receives an order of supplying papads for a party in his office. From this point Mohan and Bhakti’s lives change for the better as they flourish in their business. Meanwhile, the jethanis again try to bring Mohan and Bhakti’s papad making business to a standstill but in the process the plan boomerangs on them. This is the first time that Bhakti doubts foul play and decides to bring the masterminds to book. To execute her plan, Bhakti spreads the talk of having seen the culprits in the footage retrieved from a camera perched secretly in the factory which was under surveillance. The jethanis get hassled when they get to know of this new development

Sabki Laadli Bebo is all about a cute, cheerful, innocent girl Bebo--- who is loved by her family immeasurably. This affluent, respectable, traditional Punjabi family of 3 brothers and their parents always yearned for a girl child and their happiness knew no bounds when after years God answered their prayers and a daughter was born..

As the only girl child born in the traditionally rich Punjabi family after ages, she was nothing less than a precious jewel in the house and there was an amazing bond between each of them. Unheard and unexposed to the sorrows and miseries of life she knows only to smile and laugh. Her motto of life is to be happy and make others happy and she is proud to be born in such a loving family.
Yeh rishta kia kehlaata ha

The concept of an arranged marriage is quiet unique to the Indian culture. The families choose the bride and the groom as per their own beliefs and customs and the two strangers are tied for a lifetime by the knot of holy matrimony. There is no question of a courting period or the individual preferences of the bride or the groom.

This story is a beautiful and heart warming story of a girl called Akshara who, not unlike millions of other girls in India, knows that her marriage will happen with the consent of her parents and family. Like other young girls, she also has grown up fancying film stars and cricket stars…but to fall in love before marriage remains a distant dream for her.

Akshara is born into a traditional Marwari family- the Maheshwari family of Udaipur. She is the apple of everyone’s eye and lives a protected and sheltered life. Her family loves her very much and sets up her alliance with a deserving boy of their community.

Although she willingly accepts her marriage with Naitik, whom her parents have chosen as her life partner, she realizes that their relationship is not like any of the romantic notions she had nurtured in her heart about her future husband.

Her mother explains to her that love is an emotion that finds it’s way gradually into the relationship between a husband and wife. As they get to know each other more and more and learn to adapt themselves to their life partner, love will surface and they will find their bonds strengthened by it.

Akshara then begins the journey of discovery of her new life wondering if life is really the miracle that her mother proposes it is.

Love after marriage is something Akshara is yet to experience and in the quest of that unrequited love, she is to chance upon changing dimensions of various other relationships…
Biddai

Both the sisters love each other immensely and are good natured but society’s approach towards them makes Sadhna’s life difficult as her mother starts differentiating between them. Sadhna is treated like a step-daughter in the house and feels punished for her good looks but Ragini loves her unconditionally.

All-in-all, the story is about these two sisters whose \'looks\' determine their happiness. This unique story embarks the journey of two sisters and makes one question the belief - "Are beautiful people happier than ugly Bettys?"

Dispute: Finale Episode
What about life after the Kachehri? Did the parties end up following what they had voluntarily agreed to at the end of the listening and mediation?

Dispute in DetailAbout 4 months ago, Star Plus launched a reality show with a difference: Aap Ki Kachehri Kiran Ke Saath. A pioneering out of court TV show wherein people with civil disputes voluntarily came forward to share and present their issues first hand before the fair and just arbitrator and mediator Dr. Kiran Bedi in the hope of finding a solution based on legal rights and laws.

From family, matrimonial to commercial, all kinds of disputes were heard at Aap Ki Kachehri and while solutions were offered purely on the basis of law, humanitarian aspects were also brought to the fore.

But what about life after the Kachehri? Did the parties end up following what they had voluntarily agreed to at the end of the listening and mediation? Are the disputes truly sorted? Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil

This is the proverbial last straw that breaks the camel’s back, another Balaji serial is to be pulled down to the afternoon slot.

‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’ has been airing at 8.30 pm prime-time slot on Ekta’s one-time favourite channel Star Plus. But as it fails to gather the sufficient TRPs at that slot, the channel has decided to replace it by some other show.

According to our source, “In a month’s time ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’ will be shifted to an afternoon slot.”

This is not for the first time that Balaji serials have been replaced from the prime time slot. Maybe soap queen Ekta Kapoor who beautifully presentes all the emotions onscreen, can also choose to present this bitter experience through a serial we suggest ‘Kis Slot Mein Hai Mera Serial’.
